BCM supports Ethereum network upgrade and hard fork: Temporary interruption of Ethereum deposits and withdrawals

From March 13, 2024, at 14:25 CET, it will temporarily not be possible to make deposits and withdrawals for the Ethereum network, including all erc20 coins, via BCM. This is due to a planned network upgrade and hard fork of Ethereum, which is expected to take place on the same day at 14:55 CET, at epoch 269.568.

During this period, the following services will be affected: deposits and withdrawals. Trading coins on the Ethereum network is not affected by this upgrade. So you can continue to buy and sell on BCM as usual. Deposits and withdrawals for coins on the Ethereum network will resume as soon as the upgraded network is considered stable. BCM will determine, depending on the speed of the network, how long this interruption will last.

As a BCM customer with Ethereum in your portfolio, should you do anything? The short answer is no. If you use a broker like BCM, you don't need to take any action at this time.
